"Sophrology is the science of the conscience and the values of existence" according to Prof. Alfonso Caycedo, founder of sophrology.
This science makes part of psychosomatic sciences; it studies the phenomena of human conscience that the brain is capable of seizing. Some of its techniques derive from Zen or Yoga.
It can also be considered as a valuable philosophy aiming to balance the individual and fulfil its "awoken" conscience.
Finally, sophrology is a treatment which allows the therapist to treat diseases by focusing on the potential of the patient's healing rather than on the symptoms.
Sophrology is particularly recommended in case of:
| - stress |
- preparation of exams |
| - physical tensions |
- team work management |
| - sleeping disorders |
- personal development of well being |
| - chronic pains |
- sports performance |
| - preparation for delivery |
- preparation for an operation |
| - communication pedagogic |
- usw. |
